Designing and manufacturing motion control components and systems, this client was urgently seeking two skilled Precision Grinder contractors within the aerospace industry for a project that needed to be delivered within a short timescale.
Having struggled to find suitably skilled contractors, the client needed specialist recruitment support. Factoring in the urgency of the project, TXM Recruit began the resourcing process by contacting skilled Grinders within a talent pool that has built up over several years supplying into the Formula One and Aerospace sectors.
Detailed screening was completed in relation to tolerances, machine usage, and programming languages and as a result 2 Precision Grinder contractors were placed within 24 hours.
This leading aerospace client required agency guidance on determining the status of their contractor workforce due to pending IR35 legislation changes.
Having placed 50+ precision engineering contractors into the business, TXM was able to provide guidance on their current contingent workforce and roles, advising what changes the client needed to implement.
This involved hosting a workshop to further educate the client on IR35, inviting key stakeholders across their organisation to participate in breakout sessions with professional advisors including TXM’s legal partner Osborne Clarke.
The team successfully helped the client determine the status of their contractor workforce, utilising TXM's IR35 Assessment Tool. The client was able to make the relevant contractor changes required and is prepared for the IR35 changes which are now due to take place in 2021.
