Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next challenge? TXM are excited to be partnering with a well-established, international rail company currently experiencing rapid growth and expansion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking business, where you’ll play a key role in both new product development and the enhancement of existing solutions. You’ll also contribute to technical investigations and provide innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead new product development and legacy product maintenance, managing multiple projects to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Design components, systems, and products by applying principles of mechanics, electricity, heat transfer, and materials science, while conducting research and testing.
  • Develop customer-focused solutions by analysing requirements, researching manufacturing methods, and validating assembly processes through prototype testing.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance by creating and executing test methods, confirming fabrication standards, and adhering to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation including 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, datasheets, and support customer engagements through meetings, workshops, and technical presentations.
  • Stay current with industry trends by attending workshops, reviewing publications, building professional networks, and participating in exhibitions and global customer events.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Strong conceptual design skills.
  • Ability to present technical information effectively.
  • Practical experience with FMEA, FMECA, and risk engineering.
