Job title: Out-Stations Technician - Rolling Stock Job location: Birmingham Salary: Circa £44k Hours: 3 shift pattern; minimum of 37.5 hour per week We are currently recruiting for an experienced rolling stock engineer to join a busy train maintenance team offering out stations support. This opportunity would be perfect for an experienced engineer that is looking for a role offering variety, technical challenges and responsibility who is confident with lone working. It has excellent progression routes and working closely with train control and the wider operations and engineering teams you will have the chance to utilise and develop skills within communication, technical reporting, advanced fault find, data analysis and decision making. You can also expand your knowledge of train operations, reactive and preventative maintenance and train control. This could open the doors for career advancement opportunities within the maintenance control unit, operations support, technical engineering support or even maintenance/production management. Operations Project Delivery Manager Responsibilities: Managing multiple workstreams and projects from an internal perspective looking at organisational readiness for the delivery of new trains to a variety of train operators. Manage workstream project plans, establish appropriate project governance and progress through high level reviews/steering groups and report regular weekly progress meetings. Identify potential slippage and corrective actions to then integrate in the workstream plans and overall corporate plan. Operations Project Delivery Manager Experience: Ideally railway experience but would consider manufacturing, automotive or aerospace. Will have 5-10 years’ experience and worked within a service environment, delivering projects against of “service first”. Multimillion pound project experience. APM or Prince2 qualified with practical implementation experience. Energetic, engaging, personable, ability to bring people together in a matrix environment. Maintenance Electrician Milton Keynes £33,000 - £43,000 TXM are working with a successful, rapidly expanding automotive business near Milton Keynes and are looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician This is a practical technical assistance role, which will include installation, fault finding and de-commissioning of plant and equipment. Responsibilities include: Provide rapid technical assistance in the resolution of equipment and plant malfunctions, carry out fault-finding repairs and refurbishments as necessary. Develop and refine local operating procedures to maximise efficiency and minimise waste Train operators in the safe operation of equipment and promote up-skilling. Develop and maintain process and plant efficiency and utilisation measures to use as a tool for continuous improvement. Continuously strive to eliminate and reduce waste of any kind within the manufacturing process, scrap, re-work and consumables. Develop and implement planned maintenance of jigs, fixtures, plant and other equipment to minimise efficiency losses to production whilst carefully controlling costs. Assist in the integration of new plant and equipment into the production environment. Set and strive to improve housekeeping standards using the 5S approach. What you'll need? Time served apprenticeship with C & G Electrical qualifications plus 17th/18th Edition HNC/ HND Degree in relevant engineering discipline Experience in injection mould tooling procurement and installations Experience of robotic programming (desirable) What's in it for you?
