Location: Eastleigh.
Pay: £29.68 hourly.
Qualification: Level 3 in engineering.
Main Responsibilities:
Main duties of the position:
- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility.
- Effective leadership and ownership of all modification activities
- Formal and informal management of behaviours of team members
- Act as an effective team member amongst a peer group of Section Leaders
- Facilitate continuous improvement and problem-solving activity.
- Interact effectively with support department personnel.
- Maintain housekeeping level.
- Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.
- Monitor, control and minimise waste.
- Lead daily communication meetings.
- Deputise for Production Manager when required.
- To be aware of and actively promote and implement the company’s ethos, culture and values.
- To be involved in staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
- To comply with and implement the companies Health and Safety policy.
- To update and maintain efficiency trackers.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required.
- Understand and adhere to Hitachi Rail escalation processes.

Qualifications:
- Demonstration of ongoing personal development
- Level 3 in engineering
Desirable Requirements:
- Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment
- Experience in the start up of a new manufacturing facility is an advantage
- Project management skills
