We have an exciting new permanent opportunity working as a Vehicle Installation Electrician for one of key transportation clients based in Oxfordshire.

As a Vehicle Installation Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation and test of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specification, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to.

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Installation Electrician include:
  • Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
  • Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
  • Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
  • Responsible for ensuring the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.

Experience Required for Vehicle Installation Electrician
  • Time served automotive, domestic, or industrial electrician.
  • Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC, Capable of reading wiring diagrams, Demonstrate experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
  • Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques.
  • Good interpersonal skills, Willing to undertake or provide training as required, An awareness of general Health and Safety rules.

Our client is looking to start successful candidates in May and training would take place in their facility in Northern Ireland, all travel, accommodation would be covered whilst training.
