Are you an experienced Technical Writer with a background in engineering? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation in the engineering sector, offering the chance to work on exciting global projects, with travel opportunities and a work culture that is unrivaled in the sector.
The Role: As a Technical Writer, you'll be at the heart of the design team, developing installation procedures and technical manuals for innovative product lines. You’ll work closely with project and design teams to ensure documentation is clear, concise, and meets the highest standards. This role also offers the chance to travel internationally to key sites a few times a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design and project teams to gather requirements for technical documentation.
- Review and update existing technical manuals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Work alongside the US-based team to standardise and coordinate documentation.
- Use 2D/3D CAD software to produce images and illustrations for manuals.
- Identify improvements in documentation processes to save time and reduce costs.
- Ensure all manuals and technical documents are delivered on time and meet industry standards.
- HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Engineering is essential (Degree preferred).
- Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD
- Proven background in technical writing or related roles
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel internationally (2-3 times per year).
- £50-60k salary depending on experience.
