Calling all engineering managers, maintenance managers, project engineers, quality engineers, CI specialists and programme managers.

The job of a Technical Analyst is a Field based role. A position where you will work in partnership with, provide technical advice to and ultimately help a diverse mix of Engineering companies secure valuable funding for their research projects through the governments Research and Development Tax Relief Scheme.

With the unique opportunity to base yourself from home and plan your own workload your role as a Technical Analyst will be technically challenging and both financially and emotionally rewarding.

All of the engineering customers you work in partnership with will already have gone through a structured approval process so this is not a sales role. You are there to act in a technical project engineering capacity providing consultative support.

Your responsibilities  as an Analyst will be two fold, firstly to gather information from the clients engineering team to understand what it is about their product or engineering activities' that is unique. Once you have established what it is that's unique about the product you will work with the team to help them secure funding for the project based on the costs they have incurred during the R&D phase and bringing the process/product to market. Be it new tooling they have invested in, equipment, design software etc.

Once you have gathered the information required you will work with the "in house accountants" to prepare the required documentation ready for the project submission to HMRC. This is typically a 2 to 6 page report.

Secondary to this and most typically once a successful claim has gone through for the company you will work in partnership with them, providing technical and strategic advise, based on your own personal engineering knowledge and understanding of the governments R&D tax relief scheme, to help them maximise the funding that is available to them for future projects.
