A design and developer of aircrafts at a facility in Bedfordshire is looking for an experienced Systems Safety Engineer.

The successful Systems Safety Engineer will work in the Airworthiness office. You will be expected to interface with the systems leads to assist with the design of the aircraft systems, both hardware and software, you will also assist the engineering team with the identification and capture of design requirements at aircraft and system level and with the associated verification and validation requirements. You will have the ability to work across different systems and support functions.  Your main role will involve the development and delivery of the safety programme plan needed to comply with the airworthiness requirements, e.g. CSXX.1309 and you will ensure that the systems safety assessment has all relevant documentation.

The successful Systems Safety Engineer will be degree level qualification in Aeronautical Engineering or Systems Engineering, alternatively you will hold a HND in related subjects. You will have 5+ years of industry experience including producing aircraft level systems safety assessment documentation in an aircraft OEM, or at least 5 years of industry experience including producing major aircraft system level systems safety assessment documentation. An understanding of CSXX.1309 and related guidance and 4RP4754, ARP4761 is essential.
