Salary is dependant on experience + between 3-10% pension, 25 days holiday +additional benefits

A leading aerospace manufacturer is looking for an experienced Configuration and Design Office Manager to join their team in Central Bedfordshire.
The role
As an Electromagnetic Machine Designer is required to support new power generation programmes. You will propose original concept solutions and support design & validation of high performance electrical machines for aerospace applications.

You will need to liaise with operations to ensure that the production is uninterrupted. You will communicate with key suppliers and customers as appropriate to ensure robust product specification and selection.

You will be responsible for the following;
" Undertake electromagnetic design and performance evaluation f new products from initial concept through completion and qualification testing and into service
" Perform thermal analysis of electromagnetic components
" Liaise with mechanical design, stress, manufacturing, sourcing and configuration, to ensure system requirements and performance is delivered
" Assist in the development of new technology
" Maintain, develop and optimise specialist design tools and methodologies to support electrical machine design
" Provide technical expertise

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications;
" Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline
" Proven track record on the design and analysis of rotating electrical machine design and simulation
" Analytical skills
" A sound understanding of the design and validation & verification process
