We have a key engineering client looking for a Skilled Assembler on a 6-month contract basis based in Burton on Trent.

 

As a Skilled Assembler you will be working 45 hours a week Monday to Friday day shifts on a competitive rate, overtime available each week at an enhanced rate.

 

As a Skilled Assembler you will be carrying out task such as:

· To have a good understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components.

· To be able to install / repair hydraulic systems.

· To be able to fault find and carry out diagnostic investigation work.

· To overhaul of raft components.

· To be able to understand schematic drawings.

 

Background/Experience for a Skilled Assembler is:

· HGV/Plant or heavy commercial vehicle experience

· Previously worked on Rail underframes

 

Qualifications/Education required:

· Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 2.

· Previous experience in rail or automotive industry
