TXM Recruit are looking for a Senior Production Manager to join one of the UK's leading train manufacturing company. This is your opportunity to work for a multi award winning business with a global presence.

Responsible for:
  • Managing and leading all aspects of production, including 180+ people to ensure the daily delivery of a safe and reliable fleet that enhances customer experience
  • Lead a team of Production Managers, Team Leaders, Engineers and Technicians to delivery the fleet on a daily basis for the customer
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the daily and weekly production reviews
  • Lead, manage and develop production staff, provide coaching and mentoring as required
  • Manage all staff rotas, leave, absence and training to ensure Minimum Shift Levels are in place at all times
  • Ensure Lean tools and techniques are applied and industry best practice is implemented
  • Ensure that all safety briefings are delivered, recorded and adhered to
  • Ensure the technical competence of staff and compliance with regulations in regards to the completion of safety critical work
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding of CI
  • Experience using SAP, Maximo or Equinox
  • At least 5 years experience within an engineering environment
  • Rail, Automotive or Aerospace industry experience is required
Qualifications:
  • Mechanical/Electrical engineering degree is desirable
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Leadership & management qualification or relevant experience
