Global FMCG Packaging Manufacturer supplying products to some of the world's leading and most well known FMCG manufacturers. The main purpose of this roles is to ensure the supply of world class quality material and service to manufacturing plants. This includes metal, direct materials, packaging, inks and equipment suppliers.

You will engage with suppliers and manufacturing plants in advanced product quality planning with reference to supplied materials and services. You will make sure the application of appropriate problem solving and risk management governance is in place to resolve quality issues and proactively mitigate risk.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1) Implementing a supplier audit plan including corrective actions

2) Ensuring the application of the right tools for problem solving and risk management with suppliers. This could include Kaizen, Single Point Lesson, 8D, Advanced Root Cause Analysis, DOE, Six Sigma.

3) Ensuring quality KPIs are agreed and and implemented

4) Maintaining a full understanding of company specifications and requirements, customer approval processes, specifications and application techniques.

To be successful as Quality Manager you will have a proven track record of working in a similar level role within a manufacturing environment. You will likely be degree educated in a technically relevant subject. You must have an understanding of ISO systems and quality management systems. Youw ill be a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or at least be able to demonstrate the ability to certify as such.

You need to have excellent analytical, numerical, statistical and problem solving skills. You must use data and facts alongside your intuition. You must set the highest standards and be an excellent man manager. Project management experience is a must and a project management certification is desirable.
