If you are a Production Planner this is an ideal opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Rail company based in Staffordshire. They are currently seeking a UK/EU Production Planner on a permanent basis as the company continues to expand and grow within the industry.

 

As a Project Buyer you will be on a salary of up to £45000 per annum, working day shift Monday to Friday. This will also include a yearly performance bonus as well as other benefits.

                                                                            

As a Production Planner you will be responsible for capacity planning at all sites within the UK & EU. The Master Production Scheduler will be the main point of contact for all internal planning requirements and provide rolling production plans to the depots.

 

As a Production Planner your role will include various tasks such as:

· Create and maintain a master production schedule for all maintenance, project, and production related activities

· Create and maintain a standardized schedule for each depot location

· Provide frequent updates to the plans

· Ensure coordination with depot managers to agree the schedule for each site

· Ensure coordination with materials planners and procurement to ensure materials available in line with the plan

· Work closely with Inventory & Logistics to monitor the inventory value and OPACC costs

· Provide feedback to the materials team where dates move out

· Monitor plan vs actual

· Lead regular meetings with key account managers, project managers and customer services to ensure all requirements are captured on the Master Production Schedule

· Create innovative tools for planning to ensure the plans are useable for the depot teams

· Determine headcount requirement for each location to meet the agreed schedules

· Familiar with the ERP system and provide inputs into the system to allow downstream activities to take place

· Update the ERP system to ensure all production orders match the scheduled locomotive maintenance dates

· Provide updates to the senior management relating to under / over capacity of a facility

 

Competencies Required:

· Suitable, relevant experience in a similar position

· Proven track record of working effectively in a planning environment

· Outstanding computer literacy and experienced with ERP systems and MS Office

· Excellent communication skills both written and oral

· Collaborative with all internal and external customers to the MPS process

· Able to be assertive and make decisions in a timely manner.

· A logical, analytical, and objective approach to problem solving and fault diagnosis

· Understanding and skilled in the identification and mitigation of Risk

· BTEC National Certificate HNC in Business Management
