TXM Recruit are working with an established Rail Engineering company to recruit a Product Manager who will be responsible for managing products specifically with the Rail Plant and Equipment sector.

Role Overview:
Required to assess market opportunities for products / clusters and take a view in terms of market revenue and profit potential, growth and sustainability. Work across the business with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, finance, BD and marketing to drive the strategy for individual product lines and clusters.  


Role Responsibilities:
  • Carry out primary and secondary market research and analysis to support propositions
  • Carry out qualitative and quantitative research to understand competitors within Yellow Plant
  • Engage with employees across the business, not just focused on what specific department
  • Strong commercial accumen is required for this position, requires you to be confidential in relation to commercial contracts

Role Requirements:
  • A good understanding of Engineering and New Product Development
  • Yellow Plant experience is essential
  • Rail Infrastructure experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Presentation skills – ability to present complex issues / data in concise and readily understandable form
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence
  • Can demonstrate experience of working in a senior role
  • Experience of working within a culture of continuous improvement 
  • Previous experience of implementing good commercial practice
  • Experience of undertaking primary and secondary market research and analysis to support proposition and business development using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Knowledge of MS office
  • Knowledge of Product Management

Working Hours:
  • Monday - Friday, Days Only - 37 hours per week
  • Occasional travel within the UK
  • Hybrid working model
