We have an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join a busy rail company to become part of their procurement team working to support various business units. The business units could include business operations, fleet, services, asset management and projects.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a similar role with excellent organisational skills along with strong knowledge of correct procurement processes.
Responsibilities will include:
• Support Procurement Managers, where necessary, with strategic procurement projects
• Maintain contracts database on behalf of the team.
• Run relevant reports required for procurement’s business plan commitments to the DfT under our National Rail Contract
• Ability to manage supplier review process / conduct due diligence (i.e., credit reports, accreditations); and
• Ability to own / implement a supplier risk matrix capturing spend and contract renewals
• Development, maintaining and publishing of procurement dashboard.
• Support of forward pipeline across all category areas
• Provide category areas with spend analysis, market changes, mergers, and areas to watch.
• Commercial compliance for tender opportunities
• Support tender opportunities as requested.
• Management of conflict-of-interest registers
