Principal Track Engineer – Birmingham

Due to increased workload and a significant upgrade scheme shortly due to kick off in the North, a leading consultancy are looking for an experienced Track Design Engineer to join the team, taking the lead and stepping into a Principal Engineer role.

The Birmingham office of this award-winning consultancy is the heart and soul of their rail division, compromising of state-of-the-art facilities as well as experts from all disciplines working collectively on some of the industry’s biggest projects.

Your experience in the discipline will enable you to play a fundamental role in ensuring the design delivery of numerous track renewal and upgrade schemes, whilst taking junior engineers under your wing offering your knowledge and expertise to assist their development and progression.

This will provide the opportunity for your own personal development, with the growth plans in place allowing for someone to join as a Principal and work their way up into a senior management level role.

The ideal candidate can expect a basic salary of £50k-£55k plus package including pension, healthcare, holidays and a bonus.

Requirements:

• Ideally Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification in relevant field
• Experience in PWay design role – either Senior looking to step up or already at Principal level
• Member of PWI would be advantageous
