Plant & Vehicle Fitter with ref. BH-35526

Are you a Fitter seeking a new opportunity? Have you considered an opportunity within the engineering industry? Currently seeking a Fitter on a permanent basis to join a growing engineering business based in Staffordshire.

As a Plant Fitter you will work a mix of days and nights, occasionally need to stay away, however You get tax free working away allowance and 30% uplift for nights. Basic salary starts at £35750 however depending on experience can be more. Also comes with a company van and fuel card.

Prime functions of a plant fitter would be repair and maintain all company owned vehicles, plant, and machinery in accordance with the planned servicing schedule or as directed by the Plant and Transport Director.
As a Plant Fitter your role will include various tasks such as:

Provide onsite breakdown cover to the operations team.
Complete and upload appropriate administration records of all repairs, servicing, and inspections carried out.
Liaise with the Plant & Transport administrator regarding service schedules, purchase order numbers and stock levels.
Comply with the Health & Safety Policy

Competencies Required

NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant or Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Knowledge of hydraulic systems
Knowledge of plant diesel engines
Proven experience in both Plant and Vehicle repair and maintenance
Knowledge of fabrication processes
An understanding of health and safety legislation and Road Traffic Regulations
Full UK Driving License
