TXM Recruit are looking for Paint Technmician to join one of the largest Rail manufacturing companies at their Newton Aycliffe Manufacturing Facility. If you have an eye for detail, a 'Can do' attitude, we want to hear from you.

Pay: Mornings £25.73 hourly through umbrella, Afternoons £30.86 hourly through umbrella.
Overtime monday to Saturday is 1.5 and x 2 sundays and bank holidays
Shifts: Mornings 7am - 3pm and afternoons 3pm - 11pm


Job requirements.
  • Clean and de-grease surfaces in preparation for paint.
  • Shot blast the vehicle.
  • Wash the vehicle surface area in prep for next stage. 
  • Apply primer. 
  • Putty and sandblast the vehicle panel. 
  • Prime the vehicle again. 
  • High build primer. 
  • Paint, finish and polish the vehicle panel.  

Additional paint responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of the aluminum car body by way of degreasing, washing, masking, sanding & shot blasting in readiness for welding
  • Application of various protective coatings, such as primer
  • Application of putty / filler to remove any undulations throughout the car body
  • Post primer & filler sanding to ensure the correct surface requirements in readiness for the application of the top coat
  • Application of vinyl materials where required
  • Utilising top coat polishing tools & techniques to ensure the highest quality and to achieve the desired customer specifications

  • Demonstrate a good standard of numeracy and literacy skills
