This position is initially offered as a 6-month temporary contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent based on performance. For the duration of the temporary contract, the company will cover accommodation costs if applicable.
As part of ongoing growth, the company will be relocating to Derby next year, so applicants must be willing and able to commit to working in Derby upon the move.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the coordination and optimisation of production processes, ensuring customer demand is met on time and in the most efficient, cost-effective way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate resources, including materials, equipment, and labour, to ensure seamless production flow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, inventory, warehouse, and sales to align production goals.
- Analyse performance data and support continuous improvement initiatives, including new bid support and industrialisation processes.
- Proven experience in production planning, operations, or supply chain management.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience within Aerospace, Rolling stock, Food manufacturing or automotive.
