TXM Recruit are currently looking for Multi-Skilled Junior Project Engineer to work in the Yeovilton, Somerset area for one of the UK’s largest and leading M&E Companies. The role will be working Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week, 8am – 5pm.

The salary will be up to £33,000 per year.


As a Multi Trade Junior Project Engineer you will be required to join our continually growing Defence contract. The position will be site based at RNAS Yeovilton. Projects will involve electrical, mechanical and property maintenance works.
Working on our busy Defence contract you will work as part of a team to assist with effectively delivering the projects, assisting with the delivery of the works onsite but doing this whilst keeping strict attention to quality, health and safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting to manage the onsite labour and sub-contractors for the project setting targets / goals and ensuring they are completed effectively, safely and correctly.
  • Complete progress reports for up-line submittal.
  • Manage all day-to-day tasks onsite
  • Work alongside our existing site team and provide technical assistance on variances / changes to the project where requested.
  • Attend DTM’s with our clients and contractors.
  • Proactively assist in engineer our projects alongside our design appointments and Pre-Construction team.
  • Procure materials and equipment throughout our buying process [where requested].
  • Complete KPI’s for sub-contractors and consultants assessing their performance.
  • Creation and compliance to MEP Construction programmes.
  • Project document control, accessing and managing this process across projects to all sub-contractors and contractors involved with projects.
  • Provide general in business support to other departments as directed.

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • The successful applicant must have a proven track record of a willingness to develop and learn whist on site with our experienced team.
  • As the Project Manager, you will require a SMSTS, CSCS skills card, along with relevant industry experience.
