Maintenance Technician - Wolverhampton - Leading Aerospace Business

Salary - £38500

Working week – 38 hours - 7:30 - 16:00

Our client are one of the most well respected and lead the way in the design and manufacture of the most advanced motion control products for the aerospace, defence and automotive sector.

This organisation is now actively recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to come in and support on a restructure of site which will offer a fantastic opportunity to start with a market leader!

We are looking for a candidate who is ideally well versed in both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance who will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of all types of CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment, so that the equipment will perform to meet all requirements

Key Responsibilities 
  • Movement, repositioning, levelling, and alignment of machinery/manufacturing equipment
  • Optimization of machine tools by ensuring maximum machine uptime.
  • Planning preventative maintenance schedules
  • Undertaking Minor maintenance to include oiling, filter changes.
  • Liaison with machine operators, team leaders and production managers to provide schedules for planned maintenance 
  • Ability to work using own initiative.
  • Involvement in Lean activities across the site
  • Active participation in site improvements
Desirable Qualities
  • A recognised maintenance apprenticeship.
  • 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
  • Previous experience of engineering / manufacturing role ideally within aerospace.
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Able to adopt and fit in with Business philosophy, culture, values, honesty, trust.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance record in line with company policy.
  • Has a positive attitude to Lean manufacturing tools and techniques including 5S.
