Job Purpose:
Lead the purchasing team on cost reduction, supplier selection, contract implementation and supplier management.
Role Responsibilities:
- To protect the supply chain by ensuring that suppliers have the capacity to supply quality product within acceptable lead times
- Manage all external suppliers in the Vendor List via PRISM and identify potential new suppliers
- Volume analysis of consumed stock to ensure price breaks are set in appropriate places
- Lead supplier review meetings and cost reduction teams
- Set-up and support the implementation of Supply Frame Agreements with strategic suppliers on production parts
Role Requirements:
- CIPS qualified is essential
- Commercially / legally aware
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation
- Contract management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
