TXM Recruit are searching for a Laboratory Manager (Analytical) to join the Quality Control department at a pharmaceuticals company who continue to grow through an agile business model; whereby they operate as an own label manufacturer, contract manufacturer and an analytical laboratory for other businesses.

With your knowledge within the Laboratory in Analytical Chemistry and Quality Control, you will be leading on multiple projects, differing customer requirements and problem solving at different stages of the product life cycle- enjoying varied and challenging work that will provide you with excellent career development and daily interest.

As an Analytical Laboratory Manager, you will be coordinating the technical and analytical requirements within QC; leading on projects and objectives for:

-Solving complex analytical chemistry problems.

-Transferring new analytical techniques to the Quality Control / QC laboratory.

-Method development, method transfer

-Validation of analytical test methods

-SOPs / process writing

-Compliance to GMP and ICH requirements

Previous experience and Education:

-You will support an Analytical team of 4 and therefore will have previous experience in the management or mentoring or people / projects / process or training of staff.

-You will be experienced in a range of laboratory analytical techniques, ranging from: HPLC; GC; UV; IR and wet chemistry.

-Possess strong technical knowledge of chromatography (HPLC/GC) that is backed up with excellent troubleshooting skills.

-Working to Good Manufacturing Practices GMP.

-Exposure to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

-Degree educated, preferably in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
