- To co-ordinate and plan the maintenance schedule for all facilities, strategically and hands on for the day-to-day management and governance.
- Proactive and hands on Project Manager, to oversee “project works”
- First line management of the regional Facilities Managers, and the Facilities Compliance Manager.
- Produce detailed technical specifications to ensure compliance prior to requesting supplier quotations, ensuring like for like quotations for work are received.
Experience and qualification
- University Degree in Civil Engineering desirable (or equivalent is essential)
- Professional membership of ICE (or equivalent) is desirable
- People Management training, to min ILM Level 5 is essential
- A minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in building construction and maintenance work (including facility management), 3 of which at a managerial level.
- Comprehensive understanding of building maintenance and repair methods and requirements
- Able to read and interpret building plans and specifications, draw plans and write specifications and cost estimates for building repair and minor building construction work.
- Strong experience in Railway Infrastructure Maintenance
- Knowledge of applicable discipline based railway standards
- Experience in writing company standards
- The ability to deliver applicable health, safety and environmental standards and requirements
- Good working knowledge of all company management accreditations ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
