TXM Recruit are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Co-ordinator to join our rail client in Doncaster.  Reporting to their HSEF Manager, you will support in ensuring legal compliance for all HSEF processes. Working with the operations team you will ensure risk assessments, method statements and SOP’s are suitable and sufficient and conduct HSE training in line with business needs. You will work with the business to create a progressive and continuously improving HSE culture at all sites.  This role will support the Hexthorpe and Jupiter sites in Doncaster. Travel between sites will be required.

Our client will contribute towards a car or fuel allowance - £307 per month for fuel or a car up to the value of £420 per month


Main Responsibilities

  • Create a progressive and continuously improving HSE culture at Rail sites;
  • Conduct HSE training in line with business needs this may include but is not limited to manual handling training, Inductions training, COSHH training etc
  • Working with operations team to ensure risk assessments, method statements and SOP’s are suitable and sufficient;
  • Conducting internal audits against standards such 45001 & 14001
  • Working with all departments on external accreditations such as 45001, 14001 & RISQS etc
  • Reporting to the site management team on HSEF KPI / Providing weekly safety reports
  • Ensure contractors are working within group policy and safety standards on site
  • Liaise with HR department on OH matters.
 

Essential Criteria:

  • NEBOSH certificate (or commitment towards obtaining this)
  • Working towards minimum TECH IOSH status
  • Previous experience operating in a logistics environment
  • Experience in applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Evidence of personal involvement in delivering HSEF and CSR Improvements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full driving licence
