TXM Recruit are working with a business who are looking to recruit a permanent Head Of Rail Fleet Engineering, this candidate will manage circa 200 employees over engineering, stores and cleaning across multiple depots across the network.

As part of this role, we would like candidates to have knowledge of fleet engineering and depot management with experience of a rail environment.

Qualification:

· Minimum of degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline (or equivalent)

· Possess Chartered Engineer membership or currently working towards this

· Minimum of 3 years line management experience within a railway vehicle fleet engineering environment

· Experience of managing complex projects

· Experience of managing interfaces within and within an engineering environment

· Experience in engaging with Trade Unions

· Experience of managing a budget

· Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle
