My client is a leading provider of premium material handling solutions. Known for commitment to customer service and technical excellence, they provide tailored equipment servicing and support for a wide range of industries across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they’re now seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Forklift Engineer to join the team in the North including Manchester, Hull, Doncaster and Leeds.
The Role:
As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites across Manchester and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and service diesel, electric, and LPG forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Provide excellent on-site customer service, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Maintain accurate service records using digital reporting tools.
- Liaise with the service support team for parts and job scheduling.
- Proven experience as a field-based or workshop engineer within the material handling, agricultural, plant, automotive or HGV sectors.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant, Vehicle Maintenance, or similar).
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Forklift industry experience is essential – Additional training will be provided.
