TXM are currently supporting a contractor who have been awarded a number of rail track and civil schemes within the Midlands area.

They require a design manager with a  proven record of railway civil engineering design experience, a deep technical interest in the interface between railways, earthworks, geotechnical, track and drainage designs. Also, willing to understand cross-discipline input to provide fully integrated, commercial design solutions from feasibility through to construction.

Ideally you will be:

• Experienced in managing designs within the railway environment and able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Network Rail’s standards and processes

• Management skills and confident when dealing with staff, clients, figures, design issues and programmes

• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project
