CNC Miller - Setter/Operator
Location: Basildon
Salary: £33,090 - £43,890
Employment Type: Permanent (Monday to Friday)
Shift: Days or Nights

Join a thriving international aerospace company at the forefront of innovation. With a robust order book for the next two years and plans for expansion, we are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to contribute to the production of precision aerospace components.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision engineering, particularly within Aerospace, Motorsport, or Medical devices. Your expertise in maintaining strict tolerance standards will make you an invaluable addition to the team.

CNC Miller Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently set up and operate CNC Milling machines.
  • Craft components according to varying customer specifications, adhering to tolerances of +/- 25 Microns and occasionally as tight as +/- 10 Microns.
  • Handle small to medium batch work, often with medium to high complexity.
  • Collaborate with planning teams on NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and repeat orders while advancing manufacturing methods based on distinctive customer designs.
CNC Miller Experience and Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in setting and operating CNC Mills, particularly 3 & 5 Axis machines.
  • Prior experience working with a range of materials including Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminium.
  • Ideally, apprentice-trained or equipped with substantial experience in the aerospace industry or related precision engineering sectors like motorsport.
CNC Miller Benefits:
  • Optional overtime available, payable at x1.5 hourly rate (days), typically offering 6-8 hours per week.
  • Generous holiday package: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays per year, including Christmas closure.
