About: This is an great opportunity for a CNC Miller to join a well-established international aerospace business. As they undergo a period of growth, and with a full order book for the next 2 years, we are seeking a candidate experienced in CNC Milling to contribute to the production of precision aerospace components.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an individual with a background in precision engineering environments, particularly in Aerospace, Motorsport, or Medical devices, where working to stringent tolerance levels is a standard.
CNC Miller Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Milling machines proficiently.
- Manufacture components according to diverse customer specifications, maintaining typical tolerances of +/- 25 Microns and occasionally achieving tolerances of +/- 10 Microns.
- Handle small to medium batch work, often with medium to high complexity.
- Collaborate with planning teams on NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and repeat orders while enhancing manufacturing methods based on different customer designs.
- Competent in setting and operating CNC Mills, particularly 3 & 5 Axis machines.
- Previous experience working with a variety of materials such as Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminium.
- Ideally, apprentice-trained or qualified through experience within the aerospace industry or other precision engineering sectors like motorsport.
- Monday to Thursday: 7am to 4pm, Friday: 7.30am to 12.30pm.
- Optional overtime available, payable at x1.5 hourly rate (days), typically offering 6-8 hours per week.
