Job Title: 5 Axis CNC Operator
Location: Huntingdon
Rate: Competitive hourly rates
Job Purpose
" Setting and operating 5 axis machines
" Running off-line programs
" Online programming and editing
" Inspection of components using analogue and digital handheld measuring equipment
" Operating and programming touch probes
" Reading engineering drawings
" Tool setting
" Machine alignment checks
" Manual machining operations
" Communicating and recording information and instructions
Key Responsibilities
"5 Axis machine operation, including -
"Tools setting and checking
"Part setup
"Operation of Fanuc controller
"Running off-line programs
"Creating and editing programs
"Inspecting parts to engineering drawings
"Reading engineering drawings including understanding geometric tolerancing
"Ad hock jig and fixture creation
"Loggings hours on route cards
"Carry out daily maintenance checks
"Machine maintenance
"Ensure that quality is maintained to specific requirements
"To provide clear communication and instructions to team members and to all other departments
"To ensure that all materials are used efficiently and recorded as required
"Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety
