The role

With your knowledge and principles of coordinate systems and alignment, ability to interpret dimensional data, you’ll join the Quality Department. You will be responsible for providing an independent measurement service across, machining and assembly areas to include measurement of engine blocks, cylinder heads, crank shafts and supplied parts.

The successful CMM Technician will have the following skills and qualifications;

• You'll hold a relevant modern apprenticeship; alternatively, you will have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and work experience appropriate to the Level 3 standard.
• Additionally, all applications for this programme must demonstrate at least 50% core competence in line with a job specialism related training needs analysis.
• You will have previous experience of CMM operating and programming with Calypso.
• You will have an understanding of metrology, first principles of measurement, (FAIR) First Article Inspection Reporting, Initial Sample Inspection Reporting (ISIR) and Surface Roughness and Contour Measurement.

Shifts- worked on a weekly rotation

06:00-14:00

14:00-22:00- 10% uplift on salary

22:00-06:00- 20% uplift on salary
