TXM Recruit are looking for a CCTV Technician on a contract basis to join one of the UK's largest rolling stock manufacturing companies.

Main Responsibilites:
  • Maintain the condition of the work site, materials and equipment.
  • Adhere to health, safety, environmental & quality practices in the workplace.
  • Prepare for and undertake planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of CCTV equipment from rolling stock.
  • Liaise with CCTV viewing team for investigations and react to customer requirements for CCTV retrieval at short notice.
  • Ensure any CCTV specialist equipment is kept organised and tidy at all times (and any faults reported and actioned as appropriate).
  • Support technicians and Engineering to allow them to obtain CCTV evidence for investigations.
  • Assist Production teams with in-depth faults, passing on fault finding skills and system knowledge.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of continuous improvement to improve fleet reliability and ensure contractual requirements are achieved and exceeded.
  • Prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of traction and rolling stock components within competence for this role.
  • Installation of upgrades, software releases and fixes to required procedures and in accordance with the manufacturer’s or provider’s instructions.
  • Work with Learning and Development to support the delivery of systems training to Production teams.
  • Participate in and support engineering in software CCTV acceptance testing and end-to-end integration testing in both train and component level.
  • Assist Materials function in the correct levels of information to undertake defect rectification by 3rd party suppliers.
  • Principal Site Contact for ensuring Diagnostic Laptops are, fully functional, have the correct levels of software, and fault-free (ensure all faults reported are appropriately managed).
  • Installation and configuring hardware operating systems and system applications.
  • Maintenance of relevant SAP records; up to date with clear and concise information of work carried out.
  • Any other appropriate duties as directed by the Senior Production Manager/TMC Manager.
