The rate for nights is time and a third.
Working hours are:
Mon-Tues: 9.15pm-7.00am
Wed Thurs: 9.00pm – 7.00am
No Friday working
A leading designer and manufacturer of precision engineered products for aerospace applications are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to join their team in East Cheshire.
The role
As a Welding Engineer, your main duties will include;
- Control of assigned welding processes
- Maintenance and further development of the welding control structure
- Audit and maintenance of NADCAP and customer accreditations
- Training/Coaching/Mentoring for welding operatives and qualification of welders and welds
- Investigation and implementation of new welding equipment and processes to business
- Dispensations for quality issues
- Support for welding requirements for NPI
- Improving efficiency, quality and supporting right first time
- Technical interface for welding related matters, responding to Operations, Engineering and Quality departments
- Identify and implement world class welding processes to support CI activity
The successful Process Engineer will have the following skills and qualifications;
- Weld Engineering background, >5 years within Welding Engineering, sectors including – Aerospace, Petrochemical or Oil & Gas
- Experience reviewing specifications
- Established welding control experience and knowledge of welding matters
- Experienced in performing audits
- HND in Welding, Engineering or Metallurgy fields
