If you are an experienced Fitter this is an ideal opportunity to get into the rail industry working for a rapidly expanding Rail company based in Derbyshire. They are currently seeking Wagon Fitters to join them on a permanent basis

 

As a Wagon Fitter you will be working on a day shift, 06:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday. It’s a starting salary of £25500 per annum and overtime is available at an improved rate.

 

As a Wagon fitter you will be carrying out mechanical tasks on a fleet of wagons, these tasks include such things as:

· Assessing the condition of the Wagons

· Brake Testing

· Wheel Changes

· Hopper Door maintenance and repairs

· Removal of Panels

· Repairs of Fasteners using the specific tooling

 

We are looking for fitters who have a mechanical background and have experience of working on some form of fleet/vehicles. These roles are open to individuals from an ex-military, REME, engineering and manufacturing background looking to start a career within the rail industry.
