The Role:

As a Utility Meter Surveyor, you will be going to multiple buildings within your assigned region and contacting residents to gather information about the location of utility meters (electricity & gas). Using a handheld smart device, you will be required to accurately record all the information you receive, as well as managing your workload to make sure you meet the daily targets given to you. This is a brand new part to the company who have recently expended from providing products to also services. Therefore, as the company grows into the ever-increasing SMART energy industry, there will be a lot of room for progression within the company.

 

Working as a Meter Surveyor you will be working flexible hours which suit yourself. You will be expected to work 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 9pm

For this role you will be paid:

Hourly Rate: £8.50 per hour on a PAYE basis (calculated from first door to last)

Mileage Allowance: 45p per Mile (door to door)

  • Driving Licence.

 

Once you have been offered the position:

Once you are offered the position of a Utility Meter Surveyor you will need to add class 1 business insurance onto your vehicle which includes usages “in connection with your business” as you will need to use your own vehicle for this role. You will also need to complete a basic DBS Check (at a cost of £25 to yourself).

 

In order to be successful, you must be able to provide references & DBS / CRB assessment. Please note you will only need to carry this out once you have been offered the position.
