The successful applicant will be part of a small team and will work on a variety of projects to support and maintain multiple engineering programmes.
Test Support Technician Responsibilities:
- Undertake electrical / electronic and electromechanical dyno and test rig fault diagnosis, build and maintenance.
- Test bed installations, maintenance & calibration of a wide range of engine test instrumentation and transducers. Including: flow meters, pressure, temperature, environmental sensors.
- Calibration, installation & maintenance of dyno control and data logging systems.
- Set up and fault diagnosis of Inverter drives, motors, valves, fans, pumps etc
Test Support Technician Skill and Requirements:
- Conversant with both low voltage dc sensors, actuators and control circuits as well as mains, 3 phase electrical control systems and actuators
- Basic mechanical fitting and assembly skills
- The ability to work equally well unsupervised or as part of a team
- Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
- A desire to learn new disciplines and expand their skill set
- 18th Edition would be highly desirable
- Electronic/electrical technician qualified in electronics technology to ONC/HNC level
