TXM are working with a highly successful and growing manufacturer of construction equipment and are looking to recruit a Technical Support Manager for their site in Cambridge.
You'll be an escalation point of contact and subject matter expert in a specific product line of the company's heavy plant equipment, providing key support to customers and field-service engineers on technical issues.
The aim of the game is to ensure customers are happy and also improve product quality, you'll do this by:
-Managing aftermarket product issues, categorising technical concerns in order of priority.
-Ensuring that information is communicated in suitable formats and within a timely manner.
-Assisting in fault diagnosis activities.
-Collating information and presenting to suppliers.
-Initiate product improvement campaigns.
-Providing guidance to the plant hire depots.
-Day-to-day management of 1 direct report.
What you'll need?
-Excellent knowledge of the construction industry, ideally holding a recognised NVQ apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Heavy Plant Engineering.
-Expert knowledge of heavy plant equipment such as: Excavators, Loaders, Haulers, Cranes, FLT's.
