If you are an experienced Team Leader, this is an ideal opportunity to join a rapidly expanding Rail company based in Staffordshire. They are currently seeking a Team Leader on a permanent basis as the company continues to expand and grow within the industry.

 

As an International Buyer you will be on a salary of between £35000 & £40000 per annum dependant on experience, working morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday.

                                                                             

As a Team Leader you will coach, mentor, and lead the team creating a culture of continuous improvement to increase safety and efficiency. To work closely with the production & depot managers to ensure maximum operational effectiveness and minimum downtime for area of responsibility. This is a hands-on role.

 

As a Team Leader your role will include various tasks such as:

· Prepare and write reports as required.

· Coordinate, attend and lead team meetings.

· Responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality product and zero defects

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement

· Measure team performance and undertake performance management as required

· Responsible for delivering regular ‘toolbox talks’

· Deputise for the Depot Manager during times of annual leave, absence.

· Ensure that competence levels are maintained and attend any training courses required to maintain and improve delivery standards.

 

Competencies Required:

· Clear leadership skills

· Supervisor/ Manager potential

· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

· Technical & physical competency to carry out the work

· Able to inspect the work of the team for quality assurance purposes.

· Focus and drive to achieve targets, budgets, and results.

· Set clear objectives, monitor progress, take corrective action, and control performance levels.

· Work to a high specification to improve and maintain quality.

· BTEC in Electrical Engineering or Apprenticeship or equivalent.
