Supply Chain & Aftermarket Manager

 

TXM Recruit are currently working with a global provider of rail solutions who are looking for a Supply Chain & Aftermarket Manager who will manage a full cycle of supply chain activities and logistics and obtain technical specifications/drawings of vehicles and spare parts. Supply Chain Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Streamline supply chain
  • Control costs
  • Strategic planning
  • Negotiate/Establish relationships with suppliers
  • Create purchasing policy
  • Ensure compliance with both domestic & international trade requirements
  • Develop relationships with existing suppliers
  • Follow direction of Deputy Project Management and after Market Sales
  • Travels 50% of the time Internationally

 

After Market Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain technical specifications/drawings of vehicles & spare parts
  • Source suppliers (Italy)
  • Request quotes from suppliers
  • Confirm payment of invoices
  • Monitor status of bids
  • Build book of business
  • Prepare collaterals
  • Update & maintain ABI website
  • Follow direction of V.P. Sales & Marketing

Adhere to all organizational policies & procedures

  • Maintain & develop relationships with Italian suppliers/new commercial customers
  • Prepare & submit Bids & Proposals
  • Perform business development activities & new initiatives

 

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in the rail car manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related. Or Engineering Degree a PLUS
  • Min 10-year experience in Supply Chain & Logistics
  • Bilingual Italian/English Preferred
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Specially Excel)
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Understanding of lead times and assembly process
  • Outstanding negotiator
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external Clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
