Stores Operative required for a key engineering client based in Norwich on an initial 11-month contract.
As a store operative you would be on an attractive rate of £15.82 PAYE per hour based on a standard working week of 36 hours. Permanent night shift, 4 on 4 off. Overtime potentially available, but not guaranteed.
The lead function for the stores area, coordinating all aspects of the department in line with the key responsibilities and any other tasks as requested by the Stores Team Leader
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure effective control and security of stock within and in appropriate locations within the depot.
- Provide inter-departmental cooperation and support, maintaining effective communication within all relevant levels of the business.
- Contributing to the management of Inventories, transportation, handling, storage and packaging of assets/materials, and the disposal of waste/by products. Control of non-conforming, warranty claim and quarantined items
- Ensure they leave their workplace in a tidy state that will not present hazards for staff working later and complies with the standards set out by the materials manager.
