Skilled Train Maintainers required to join a growing Rail company on a permanent basis based in Blackburn.

Are you a Skilled Train Maintainer with background experience working within the rolling stock industry and looking for a new career path and to expand your knowledge further? Perhaps you have reached your limits within your current role and looking for an opportunity to establish a long term career in a challenging, exciting new position.

The ability to carry out routine maintenance, Exams, Defect repairs, fault finding and commissioning. If you are a qualified, Electrical/ mechanical technician, with a background in train maintenance then we would like to here from you.

As a Skilled Train Maintainer you will be working as part of a growing maintenance team working on a rotating shift pattern from Days, lates and nights.

Your primary responsibility will be to carry out the routine servicing and exams on the fleet.

As a Skilled Train Maintainer you will be based on a salary of £40,000+ per annum receiving excellent benefits from discounted travel and a final salary pension.
 
Due to the safety critical nature of the work involved, all applicants must have completed a recognised apprenticeship, city and guilds level 3 or similar practical, trade-based qualification.
In addition you must be able to demonstrate strong English written and verbal communication skills, be competent with the use of IT systems for logging and recording maintenance activity data and be able to read engineering drawing and work to detailed engineering maintenance procedures and work instructions.
