We have a new permanent opportunity as a Senior Stores Person based in Mansfield to work for a key engineering client of ours.

 

As a Senior Stores Person, you will be on day shifts, working 39 hours a week, and the salary is between £26000 and £28000 dependant on experience.

 

As a Senior Stores Person, you will be Supervising the stores team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of goods inwards, stock control and dispatch areas of the business to enable the effective flow of goods into the production process. To control and oversee stores / inventory warehouse duties ensuring the effective and efficient control of product within the Stores department. Role will involve implementing and maintaining manual and computer-based stock control systems to issue, receipt and control inventory in a stores environment. Loading, control, and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing engineering environment in line with production requirements.

 

Roles of a Senior Stores Person includes:

Goods Inwards:

· Take a proactive approach to the daily store’s operation

· Loading and unloading of vehicles

· Inspecting materials on receipt and book into computer system

· Dimension checking of parts to engineering drawings to Company procedure

· Identify non-conforming products and administer through the Company’s non-conformance procedure

Stock Control:

· Stock control / storekeeping including shelf-life control (Stock rotation, FIFO)

· Kitting activity

· Updating computer records

· Maintain and report local store stock levels and monitor activities

Dispatch:

· Load the workstations with the requisite roles in accordance with planned lead and cycle times, to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules

· Pack and load goods being dispatched to customers

· Create delivery notes using

 

Experience of Senior stores Person:

· Have demonstrable leadership experience in stores environment within manufacturing engineering background

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience and knowledge of working within a manufacturing engineering environment

· First-hand experience with either Enterprise Planning Systems or Material Requirements Planning systems and a proven understanding of stock management systems
