This is an exciting position for an experienced Design Engineer (mechanical) to create new concepts at a company that continually strives for innovation within their specialist areas of high end technology.

The company are a highly respected international manufacturer of engines, generators and systems for the aviation and defense industries.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be working on new products and original concepts for generators and engines- whilst supervising more junior staff and taking lead roles within projects.

For this position it will be necessary to have previously worked as a Design Engineer for the following systems/ equipment:

High speed rotating equipment / torques / reciprocating equipment / generators / valve / pump / motor / gearbox / engines.

Design Engineer Requirements:

• A mechanical, automotive or aeronautical engineering degree
• Experience in the use of 3D CAD software, preferably NX.
• Have worked within aerospace, aviation, automotive, or defense.

Salary and benefits:

• Excellent salary of £40,000-50,000 depending on level of experience
• Early finish Friday, 37 hour week
• 25 days holiday
