We are looking for an Electrically bias Rolling Stock Technician on a permanent basis in Glasgow for a leading Rolling Stock manufacturing company.

You will carry out commissioning & Warranty work on state of the art trains, the role is based on Monday to Friday Days during training and then moving to shifts including nights once competent

The salary starts at £41,000pa rising to £43,000pa after probation (3 Months) and then rising again once competent to £51,600 with shift allowance.

The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent with an electrical bias and have great fault finding experience.

This will consist of such tasks as:
  • Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required
  • Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces
  • Answer technical questions from colleagues and handle practical questions asked by the Client
  • Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required
  • Risk identification within own scope of works, assessment, provision of options to mitigate or resolve taking into account compliance with relevant legislation
  • Review and summarise faults, failures and actions taken by depot production teams as required by the RAMS / performance Engineer

The role is open to all industry backgrounds such as Rolling Stock, Avionics , HM forces etc
