TXM Recruit are urgently recruiting for 2 x QS's to join their Additional Works Team, to support a high profile maintenance contract in Suffolk. 

About the role:
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work including compiling ROC’s and firm pricing
  • Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
  • Managing variations with the Client and supply chain
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control
  • Manage subcontractor applications, payments, final accounts, and all associated Notices in a timely fashion
  • Advise on a procurement strategy
  • Provide advice on contractual claims, compile commercial claims for extensions of time, Compensation event and Early Warnings
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports, provide monthly cost value reconciliations
  • Manage and report against the profitability of Projects
  • Manage AL09 process in regards to identifying contractual risks and caveats, milestone payments on the appropriate forms, and agreeing these with Clients
  • Preparing Single tender actions and Single Source Justifications
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders
  • Proactively develop and gain funding for pipeline of additional works projects
  • Allocate work to subcontractors
  • Provide advice on contractual claims
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  • Value completed work and arrange payments
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
  • Have a good understanding of all works being carried out on site so cover can be provided in the event of annual leave or unplanned absence.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are fit for purpose and provide value. Review regularly with the staff working to those process and procedures.
  • Support the Management and attend internal governance calls for additional works that require reviews.
  • Attend /support Operational Meetings as and when required. Attend Senior management site meetings when required.
  • Enforcing and working to the 9 lifesaving rules which is incorporated in No Life At Risk.
  • Complete Management Safety Visits per month and record our clients internal program.
  • Provide cover or support for other areas within the contract, as and when required.

About you:
  • Accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS),
  • Good knowledge and experience in FM management
  • Strong negotiation skills (Requirement)
  • H&S qualifications to IOSH / NEBOSH or other standard or equivalent 
  • Establish and maintain good customer/client relations to ensure effective delivery and quality of work.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and fluidly.
  • Strong interpersonal facilitation skills.
  • Project Management or Coordination
  • Demonstrate good time management skills and working to deadlines.
  • Adhere to all internal and external processes, procedures and regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
