Key Responsibilities:

In-process inspection

  1. Inspecting products on receipt
  2. Works order endorsement
  3. Check parts before dispatch to sub-contractors
  4. Routine sample patrol inspection
  5. Gateway/interim inspection of parts between internal departments
First article inspection (FAIR)

  1. Dimensional checking of components
  2. Verifying documentation to purchase orders
  3. Checking components to works order
  4. Creation of FAI documentation
Final inspection

  1. Inspecting products before dispatch
  2. Complete paperwork at final inspection
General Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a clean and safe working area to meet the requirements of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies.
  2. Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to, to ensure compliance with the accredited Integrated Management System.
  3. Wear PPE as required in accordance with Risk Assessments and written instructions.
  4. Practice and maintain 5S disciplines in accordance with quality standards.
  5. Ensure hazardous waste is disposed of in accordance with the company environmental policy.
  6. Undertake any other reasonable management request in line with the business needs.
Essential Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
  2. Must be able to read technical drawings and inspect to detail.
  3. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
  4. All processes are carried out on a bespoke software package that the business operates (Progress Plus).  Successful candidates must be computer literate; however, training will be provided.
  5. Team player.
  6. Willingness to participate in improvement activities across the business.
  7. Eye for detail and pride in manufacturing aesthetically pleasing products.
  8. Flexible to working hours as schedules dictate.
Desirable Qualities:

  1. Quality auditing and/or engineering experience.
  2. NVQ Level 2 or above in manufacturing/engineering would be advantageous.
  3. Prior knowledge of Progress Plus system.
