Project Engineer

£45,000 + Pension, Healthcare, 25 days plus bank holidays, Profit Share

Wolverhampton- 25%-30% travel required per year

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer with a global designer and manufacturer of products for the aerospace industry. The client is known for their culture; they invest in people and have an excellent reputation within the aerospace manufacturing market.

As part of the role you will be a key contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development, testing and sourcing of complex control hardware so a background in design/hydraulic design is key. You will be able to interpret and understand drawings without assistance and will have strong technical knowledge when it comes to engineering.

You will be a proactive and forward thinking individual; you will be expected to look for the most effective and innovative way to work closely with key suppliers to develop their capabilities in line with the product line and quality expectations. You will have a proven ability of developing relationships as well as leadership experience; you will be confident in your approach and have excellent communication, planning and management skills.

You will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, you will have examples of where you have demonstrated effective project engineer-related responsibilities including leading multi-disciplined technical personnel involved in the design and development of complex systems and you will come from an aerospace background with a focus upon product design and development.
