We have a key engineering client looking for a Production Scheduler on a permanent basis based in Sandiacre, Derbyshire.


As a Production Scheduler, you will have a salary between £30000 and £35000 dependant on experience and have a 5% yearly bonus. You will only work 4 days a week Monday to Thursday 7:00 – 15:30.


As a Production Scheduler you will be responsible for generating production schedules and works packs aimed at meeting all customer requirements whilst controlling changes in work issued to the factory.


Duties of a Production Scheduler would include:

· Create, maintain, and administer the production plan/machine schedules based on sales requirements in line with processing machine capacity, materials, and manpower

· Analyse, review and maintain routings and lead times to ensure they reflect actual manufacturing processes in conjunction with engineering

· Report on operational efficiency and schedule adherence

· Issue and control production works orders packs and related information

· Assist with the creation, maintenance, and use of product templates to ensure useful forecast plans

· Monitor, report and recommend on issues involving production constraints and spare capacity

· Reviewing MRP and SOP data to aid release of all types of work including spares and change notices

· Maintain the SOP report, conveying changes to other departments e.g., Production, Purchasing and Process Engineering

· Produce & maintain decking plans as per customer/business requirements as needed

· Create parts and boms as required within the planning function to support mrp strategy


Requirements of a Production Scheduler would be:

· Proven experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler within a technical manufacturing environment

· Have detailed knowledge of manufacturing planning, master production scheduling, inventory control, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, shop floor control and warehousing

· Experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements

· Experience using MRP / ERP systems, especially Advance Planning Systems

· Strong analytical skills

· IT Literate
