£26,000-£32,000 per annum depending on experience + Pension, Healthcare, 25days + benefits, Profit Share

A Global designer and manufacturer of products for the aerospace industry currently require the services of an experienced Tooling Engineer for their Tewkesbury site.

As a Tooling Engineer you will be responsible for the design, manufacture and commissioning of tooling for use in the production environment, providing support for New Product Introduction programmes is an important part of the role, this is to ensure tooling and equipment is commissioned in line with agreed timescales.    

The successful Tooling Engineer will have a proven background in tooling and fixture design using a professional 3D CAD package and a thorough knowledge of the principles of mechanical and hydraulic disciplines.  From a manufacturing perspective, an understanding of materials and machining methods is required to compliment the tooling design. You must be able to plan and conduct trials as part of commissioning new or modified tooling, ensuring that any risks to the product are fully understood and mitigated before introduction into the production environment.   

You will hold a HNC/HND and be apprentice trained in a relevant field. Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
